This graphing calculator plots a single function of x over a range you choose. It supports the arithmetic operators + - * / ^ (power), parentheses, and unary minus, so expressions like x^2 - 3*x + 1 or -(x+2)^2 work as written. It also understands the functions sin, cos, tan, sqrt, abs, log, ln (where log is base 10 and ln is the natural log), plus the constants pi and e.
Set X min and X max to control the horizontal range of the plot — the default is -10 to 10, which suits most everyday functions. The calculator samples the expression at hundreds of points across that range and connects them into a smooth curve.
Where a function is undefined — like 1/x at x = 0, or tan(x) near its vertical asymptotes — the graph shows a real gap instead of drawing a misleading line through the break. That gap is exactly where the function has no value, which is often the most useful part of the picture.
If an expression can't be parsed, an inline message explains that instead of the page breaking — check for a typo, a missing operator, or an unmatched parenthesis.
